MASSE ATTENDING THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST ECONOMIC REGION SEMINAR ON BORDER CHALLENGES
WASHINGTON D.C. – Brian Masse M.P. (NDP – Windsor West) will be attending the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) Seminar on February 24, 2009, entitled, “Countdown to the 2010 Olympics: Border Challenges, Regional Solutions.”
As Vice-Chair of the Canada-U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Group, Mr. Masse represents the federal voice of Canadians regarding the possible challenges facing both Canada and the United States regarding several areas including: the 2010 Olympics/ Tourism, energy, and Canadian and U.S. homeland security.
The working groups of PNWER include discussions for policy implementation on the topics of tourism; agriculture, the border, energy, the environment, forestry, health care, high tech, homeland security, invasive species, sustainable development, telecommunications, trade and economic development, transportation, water policy and workforce development.
