MASSE TO ATTEND NATIONAL GOVERNOR’S ASSOCIATION
MEETING IN WASHINGTON D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Brian Masse M.P. (NDP – Windsor West) will be attending the National Governor’s Association (NGA) Winter Meeting in Washington D.C. from February 21 – 13, 2009.

As Vice-Chair of the House of Commons Canada-US Inter-Parliamentary Group, Masse will participate in discussions that affect both Canada and the United States, as well as helping to develop and implement policies with this public policy organization.

The NGA is comprised of a collective voice of U.S. governors from 50 states, three territories and two commonwealths. It was founded in 1908 when President Theodore Roosevelt gathered state governors in order to discuss the nation’s resources.

Mr. Masse will be available to comment on the meetings while in Washington.
