 MASSE, COMARTIN AND OFFICIAL OPPOSITION CRITIC FOR CANADIAN HERITAGE TYRONE BENSKIN ENGAGE LOCAL ARTS & CULTURE COMMNUNITY

 

WINDSOR – Brian Masse MP (Windsor West) and Joe Comartin (Windsor-Tecumseh) will welcome Tyrone Benskin MP (Jeanne-Le Ber) who will be in Windsor this Saturday for an information session to address the Arts Council Windsor & Region (ACWR) and its members.

 Recently elected to the federal parliament and in addition to his NDP role as Canadian Heritage Critic Mr. Benskin is also an accomplished Canadian actor, director and activist whose contribution to the Canadian arts scene spans decades. His acting career encompasses more than 200 stage, film and television productions ranging from stage productions to award-winning original Canadian TV series to Hollywood blockbusters including 300 and the Oscar-nominated biopic I’m Not There.

 As the NDP Canadian Heritage Critic Mr. Benskin views his role as not only protecting and fighting for the arts and cultural sector, but also as an advocate for independent and emerging artists.
