NEW DEMOCRAT MPs IN CORNWALL TO DISCUSS BORDER SITUATION
OTTAWA – Tomorrow, New Democrat MPs will travel to Cornwall to discuss the border situation with the community.
Canada-US Border critic Brian Masse (Windsor-West) and First Nations critic Jean Crowder (Nanaimo-Cowichan) will meet with Grand Chief Thompson and then Dave Poser, the Cornwall Customs and Immigration Union representative.
“This is yet another example of the Harper Conservative government choosing to let a crisis develop and doing nothing about it,” said Masse. "Instead of working towards a solution, the Conservative failed to take any action. The Minister must do his job, instead of blaming Canadians.”
